Match Report: Unironia vs Doland - 2016 NFT World Cup

Doland cup hopes die, then revive in a shocking turn of events.

Doland looked strong favorites in a match against Unironia. It was a must win for Doland, the host nation of the tournament. The match was played in Tranmania Stadium in the centre of the capital.

The game kicked off to a roar from the Dolandic home supporters. Unironians travelling from North America travelled in small numbers but did a good job at keeping up with the home support.

James Fulton found a space in the Dolandic defense and smashed it passed the Dolandic goalkeeper to shock Doland and make it 1-0 to Unironia in just 10 minutes into the match. The home support was quite while Unironians chanted on feeling proud on the second NFT adventure into the World Cup.

Doland looked atrocious in the first half, and certainly must've be scrutinized in the changing rooms. Nevertheless it was halftime and Unironia looked like picking up 3 points against the hosts, Doland.

In the second half Doland put pressure on the Unironian defense managing to equalize thanks to a goal from Charlie May to bring Dolandic fans back to life. A second goal followed within minutes thanks to a goal from Shakhtar Tranmania striker Tom Neville. Neville got on the score board again with another goal from outside the box making it 3-1 to doland on the 70th minute. A second from May was the icing on the cake for a successful victory in Tranmania for hosts Doland. Doland win 4-1.
